Somerton Farm is an incredibly spacious detached family and dog friendly family holiday home situated within a working livestock farm, in Northwood, Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Perfectly situated for exploring Cowes, it is situated near to the main Park and Ride and the cycle track to Newport is easily accessible. Ideal for walking and cycling holidays and for those who love wildlife.

This farmhouse is a real paradise for all the family to relax and enjoy. Horses cattle sheep and donkeys often grazing in the surrounding fields and lots of wildlife. You may even spot herons, owls, foxes, badgers and red squirrels!

THE SPACE

The property offers countryside views without being totally remote, ideally situated for all members of the family as access to the town of Cowes is so easy yet you feel that you are in the country.

Entering the large communal courtyard with beautiful stone barn on your right and traditional stables, Somerton Farm really impresses with its cheery exterior and ample off road parking (up to three cars).

There are four large bedrooms with views over the fields and courtyard. Downstairs is very family & dog friendly with laminate floors (remember your slippers!). Upstairs is carpeted and we ask that dogs do not go up to this floor.

Downstairs Space

Downstairs, the well-equipped and spacious kitchen includes a breakfast area seating four and there’s also a bright and airy dining room, perfect for seating all the family for a celebratory meal - extra wine cooler for keeping those drinks cool too!

To the right of the entrance hall is the fabulous snug with TV, table football and comfy seating, perfect for enjoying a relaxing evening after exploring this lovely area of the Isle of Wight.

The sitting room benefits from stunning farmland views, ample seating and a Smart TV, ideal for those in need of some down time.

There is an additional ground floor WC.

Outside Space

Outside, the garden is sheltered by a beautiful willow tree and to the rear of the property is a wild garden where the children’s imaginations can run free - perfect for hide and seek - but watch out for prickles!

To the right of the entrance there's a gravelled patio area with large garden table and relaxing views over fields and River Medina.  Perfect for summer BBQ's and chatting.

At the front of the property is a stable to store bikes and outdoor equipment securely (at your own risk). The courtyard is for parking and access and is required for farm traffic and daily visits to check the animals.  Please keep dogs and children supervised as traffic does drive through sometimes.

Guest access

  • You will have the whole house and private gardens for yourself but the courtyard is used by the farm so gateways and stables need to be kept clear as owner uses it for access.
  • Children should NOT play in the courtyard area. CCTV is in use. There is parking for up to 3 cars directly in front of the house. The rear garden offers plenty of space to play and privacy.
  • Somerton is a no smoking property
  • EV Charging is not permitted - we can provide a local list of charging points.
