  • Great for a large family gathering over Christmas! The well equipped kitchen ( including a new Air Fryer) enabled us to easily cook Christmas dinner for 8 !
    Plenty of room for 6 adults, 2 teenage boys and 2 dogs, despite wet and windy weather.

  • Wonderful property large farm house surrounded by beautiful gardens with plenty seating & diff areas to sit wonderful for children & dogs well everyone beautiful views all round peacful yet so very close to cowes town center.Kitchen well equipped everything u need all in full working order.Lounge was fab plenty seating all comfortable lots space plus a small lounge ideal for playing games reading quietly plus equipped with 2nd TV.Bedrooms all large lots storage very comfortable lovely views, bathrooms are fabulous again storage spotlessly clean well maintained.Alot of work & thought has gone into this property making it comfortable & people friendly although dogs are welcome here don't let that put u off if not a doggy person as farm house was beautifully clean & kept.I love the garden whilst cut lawn area & seating there's also the wild countryside look in one area very nice.Owner had very good contact with us from start to finish.Lots to do around you although isle of wight is quite small so easy to nip all over wherever u decide to stay.You won't be disappointed with this place wonderful so get booking for next year

  • We had a wonderful stay at Somerton Farm, it was the perfect place for our three generation family get together over the bank holiday. The house was huge with plenty of space for all of us and well equipped. We loved the fresh cut flowers from the garden in every room and it was a real treat to have freshly laid eggs dropped off one morning. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Our five year old particularly enjoyed being able to explore the garden and spot the rabbits in the fields. The toys and games were very much enjoyed! The cottage was perfectly located on the island and several of our group went out on long cycle rides each day. Sophie was a wonderful host, she answered questions quickly and was super friendly. We enjoyed reading about the history of the house and her family

  • Cowes Week 2023
    Arrival : We're t the house....what a lovely place
    Departure : Somerton Farm made the perfect base for us. We might be back next year! ( Smiley face)

  • We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 boys (8 and 2). Somerton Farm was perfect for us - spacious with beautiful views and lots of wildlife to admire. We spent ages watching the little bunnies in the garden every day. We had very changeable weather during our recent stay and Somerton made a great base for exploring the island ans a great place to hang out when the weather was just a bit too soggy. They have a very cool games room with table football and pool which our 8 year old loved and the master bedroom is HUGE. Perfect for our 2 year old to run around in circles before bedtime 🤷‍♀️ We had a great stay and would definitely recommend to others! Thank you Sophie and family!!

  • Sophie's farmhouse was great! It was ideally placed for us to be able to get everywhere easily and with parking for two cars right outside the front door it suited us well. Sophies lovely house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A special treat for me was meeting the lovely donkeys, which were our closest neighbours. oh, and the gift of some delicious free-range eggs. I highly recommend Sophie's farmhouse. Thank you Sophie.

  • We had a very pleasant stay at Somerton Farm, it was so nice to get away from hectic life and chill! We loved that the farmhouse was very spacious, and dog friendly!, with garden areas either side to catch the sun, all in a very quiet location but so close to Cowes. Our host, Sophie, was friendly and helpful, which all made for a great week! Thank you!

  • Lovely cottage, surrounded by fields. Beautiful views and wonderful places to sit indoor and out. Walking trails and cycle paths nearby. House was well kitted out and everything was as described. Host was very responsive to our questions.

  • We had a fabulous stay. Sophie had everything covered. Somerton was clean and welcoming and in an excellent location with a friendly and thoughtful host.

    Loved the fresh flowers and the radio playing when we walked in and it was great to see proper washing up liquid and accompanying type items - I’ve come to pack these things out of habit but inevitably I’ll forget something, Sophie had all the necessities covered.

    Thoughtfully cleaning items were available so you could freshen during the week if wanted and super thoughtful to have them up high out of kids reach, it made us feel quite safe.

    Secret garden was amazing, their was feed for the birds too - we loved all the nature, great views of the Island landscape…beautiful sunrises from our bedroom window included.

  • This was a perfect location (as anywhere on the island is easy to get to), the house was lovely so clean and big enough for 3 adults, 3 kids and a dog - we loved it so much. Our host was perfect and very quick with communications we have a perfect 5 days and will return. Highly recommended.

  • The cottage was lovely- It is really spacious and well equipped and practical for a family with young children. You are surrounded by countryside but only about 5 mins drive to Cowes. A lovely place to stay.

  • Sophie’s communication was punctual throughout, even checking on us during our stay. The folder in the kitchen is very helpful and there are plenty of ideas for what to do. The house was a great starting point where we could organise our breakfast and lunch and then head off for the day. Plenty to do in Newport, just 10 mins down the road and some well earned rest time nestled on the sofa in between adventures. Clean, tidy with everything you could possibly need. Thank you, we can’t wait to come back!

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Sophie’s place! As two young families the house offered plenty of space for adults to chill and kids to play. The children spent hours playing in the beautiful outside spaces and the location was ideal for exploring the island. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed and we loved the little extra touches such a welcome gifts and local information. We would highly recommend to families and are already looking at the diary to make a return visit!
